Echo

I am saddened to learn of the death of one of the greatest beings that ever walked the wild spaces of Kenya. Echo was queen of the matriarchs, so majestic and strong. I was privileged to see her in the mid 80’s on a camping trip to Amboseli. She started my love affair with elephants.



RIP. Respect.

    I also have a love affair with 'Loxodanta Afrikana' - hope I spelled that correctly. Thinks they are just the most majestic animals...

    Finally got to watch some, had to postpone the rest for another time, when I'm feeling less blue...I guess Justice Apondi dealt another blow today...but thanks for the post. I will come back to it.
